The A/C isn't on yet in my apartment, it's currently 92 degrees in there (yes, HOTTER by a large margin than outside temp.), and I have to wait "from 8 to 5" for the phone tech to come and see why I don't have a dialtone...bleh.

Well, first off, I should say that no, I haven't gotten anywhere with the unemployed situation yet.

That said...I feel, strangely enough, happy. It's not like I should feel happy for any reason (nor do I want to be really depressed or anything like that), but I just am. It's not the bi-polar type hyper-happy either. Perfectly calm, perfectly contented. I just feel like I'm in great shape and ready to face the world. I know this doesn't make for a typical lj entry for ANYONE :p And no, nothing's happened to make me feel better, still don't like the fact that I lost my job, but it's not affecting my mood anymore.

It's as if my wild mood swings have suddenly...vanished!

I got fired yesterday. Ironic that just a few hours previous I was blogging about how much I loved that job. I still do. Prolly gonna write a letter begging for my job back soon, But anyway, here's the official story of what happened (Mind you I was severly tired when all this took place):

A couple papers caught fire, so I put them in a trash can and stamped the flames out. Once I had it put out, I took the bag into the bin in the back, since it smelled really bad and all. About 10 mins later the fire alarm goes off because of the smoke back there (apparently it wasn't all the way out). One of the engineers managed to douse it with water (yes, that's what I should have done originally), so there wasn't an actual fire, but there was a bit of smoke. Unfortunately, the alarm tripped for the whole hotel, and the fire department came and everything. The hotel people got pissed and forced my manager to fire me (there was something about threatening to drop their contract if he didn't...I was obviously getting pretty emotional by this point)... So yeah...there ya go...

Losing this job has been a lot like having a pet/friend/loved one die on me...there wasn't a single thing I didn't like about this job--it was even part of the reason I stayed in philadelphia a couple months back when I had to make that decision.

On top of being emotionally harrowing, there's the fact that I am unemployed with no income on my own. I've only got enough saved up to last me about 2 months if I ration myself properly. Which means I've got a lot of stress coming my way concerning finding another job.

sigh...just when my life could have been considered "good"

Ok, honestly, seriously, don't-believe-it-if-you-feel-like-it-but-it's-still-fucking-true...ly...

I just checked to make sure someone wasn't a robot!

Once I got close enough to the woman it was a pretty easy determination, seeing as she wasn't 9" tall, moving about on rollers, and bent on total destruction, but from a distance it was difficult to tell. All I could see was a glint out of the corner of my eye, and you can never be too careful about these things.

It is 6:30 in the am and I am feeling good (sparks!) ^_^ ...I wonder if it's a problem that I'm in the habit of drinking well before the sun comes up/ right when I wake up? Naaaaaaaaah! It's a part of this complete breakfast...although I'm not quite following it up with fuckloads of toast and grapefruit. Meh...MEEEEH!

So an interesting phenomenon is occuring...I am spending a LOT of money lately, and I've also been working like a dog (50 hours last week and 3 MRIs). Basically I'm ending up with zero net changes to my bottom line, but I'm living a more vibrant life by far ^_^ If I can chill on the spending a little, I could become a thousandaire in no time :D Somehow my $6/day rationing has long since gone out the window, I'm eating food now for multiple meals a day (rather than powdered mixes), and my daily alcohol consumption is dwarfing my arcade expenditures...it's a good life, but I suppose it couldn't hurt to tone it down to save for a rainy day.

It is now time for internet surfing, if anything interesting happens, I'll make you're you're at least the 5th to know ^_~

Yeah, was out pretty late last night, well, compared to what time I needed to be up by today anyway. end result..about 5 hours of sleep...which doesn't sound so bad on the surface, but that's what I've been getting like all week. And no energy drink for me right now either :(

*yawn*

I ended up pushing my snooze to it's absolute limit this morning too...I'm supposed to be here ideally by 6:45 to open up...I finally woke up at 6:40. That's the nice thing about having your clothes at work and living so close by tho :)

Last night I ended up having a small revelation. Whenever I go to subcode (dnb party every saturday night) I ended just sitting there rather bored :/ So I think me's not gonna go there anymore. I usually only go there with a bunch of other friends who are into that anyway, but the problem is everything's so loud I end up unable to be a part of any conversations with them. *shrug*

Had some nifty bubble tea last night :) Pineapple/strawberry! It was so gooood. I'd expand on that point some more, but me is tired.

Oh well, 7 more hours to go, then I get to go home and take a nap for like 2 hours. It'll be nice :)

OH! One very important thing...It's fscking hot in my room!!! No A/C yet (heat needs to be switched off in building for that), so the only cooling is the one window in my place (that one window is pretty big and has an awesome view, so think think for a second that my place looks bad for it's lack of windows)...and that doesn't work too well. So last night the temp in my room was 87!!! Soooo hard for me to get to sleep when it's that hot. I ended up having to take 2 cool down showers just to sleep! :( :( :( And now it's getting kinda hot here in the gym...I wonder what's going on, it's usually a little on the cool side here...I hope the heat isn't on just cuz it's raining outside--cuz it's still warm outside. Oh well, maybe I'll get some good sleep in tonight.

Another day, another sparks

So I made a few changes to the look of my journal last night...kinda forgot about em. Today I start looking at it today and I'm like "Oh shit that's cool, who's is that....oh right, it's mine..."

Anyway, still no internet, bah...but it's not like I had any time yesterday to try to get it fixed. Was at work all day as you may recall, and it was a decently good day, too. I <3 my job!

Now, I feel I need to explain a little bit about my obsession with sparks here. The way sparks works on me is that first the alcohol hits, giving me a nice little buzz (one can is about the equivalent of 1.5 beers, so it's nothing serious). Sparks is also an energy drink tho, and while it's not the most potent drink in terms of raw amounts of chemicals, it more than makes up for it with the additional alcohol effect. The alcohol breaks down the blood-brain barrier somewhat, making the chemicals much more effective. Long after the liver nazis have expelled all the alcohol from my system, those chemicals are still firmly locked in there, pumping me up for several hours afterward :)

Ah, but enough about that.

So tonight's Bunni's show...been waiting for quite some time to see what it's all about. It's suppose to be an interactive adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, and I'm quite curious to see how they pull it off (and not just cuz Bunni's in it, either) Should be fun!

Lessee, what else...eh, I'll figure that out later, I've managed to accumulate a pretty decent stack of paperwork here over the past couple hours :o
